What if your family portrait could tell the real story of who you are? That's exactly what a Yardtrait session captures—not just how you look, but who you are as individuals and as a family.

How it works: We begin with a conversation where each family member shares how they'd like to be represented in the photograph. Everyone brings meaningful objects that help tell their story—maybe it's dad's vintage camera, your daughter's favorite book, or mom's gardening gloves. These personal touches become part of the visual narrative.

I'll then arrange everyone in a thoughtfully composed, formal pose. But this isn't about visual perfection—it's about creating a portrait that honors both your individual personalities and your connection as a family.

FAMILY MINI-SESSIONS - $250

Classic family portraits for every occasion

Sometimes you just need beautiful, smiling family photos—and that's exactly what our mini-sessions deliver. Perfect for holiday cards, family updates, or anytime you want gorgeous portraits without the time commitment of a full session.

What to expect: 25-30 minutes of classic portrait photography in a beautiful park setting, focused on capturing everyone at their best. We'll work through a variety of poses and groupings to give you plenty of options, all with that signature "everyone's actually smiling and looking at the camera" magic that makes for perfect family photos.

25-30 minute portrait session in a scenic outdoor location
35-40 beautifully edited photos to choose from
Online gallery for easy viewing and selection

FAMILY STORYTELLING SESSIONS - Starting at $600

Documentary and portrait photography that captures your family's authentic story

Some moments can't be rushed, and some stories take time to unfold. Family Storytelling Sessions blend the best of documentary and portrait photography to create a comprehensive visual narrative of your family as you are right now, all in the comfort of your own home.

What makes this special: I'll document the genuine interactions, laughter, and connections that happen naturally while also making sure we capture those important "everyone looking at the camera and smiling" shots. It's the perfect balance between real life and beautiful portraits.

A DAY IN THE LIFE SESSIONS (DITL) - Starting at $700

Pure documentary photography that captures the beautiful reality of your family

What if someone could freeze an entire day of your family's life exactly as it is right now? That's what a Day In The Life session does—no posing, no smiling on command, just real life unfolding naturally in the comfort of your own home.

The experience: I love starting when kids are waking up and finishing when they're going to bed, capturing the full rhythm of your family's day in your natural environment. During this session, no one has to smile or even look at the camera. Instead, I document life as it really happens—the messy, beautiful, ordinary moments that make up your family's story.

MY FOUR DOCUMENTARY GOALS:
