My Style: Documentary Photography

On one end of the wedding photographer spectrum there is The Documentarian. The Documentarian aims to be a fly on the wall and create a beautiful recording of the day without interjecting at all. On the other end of the spectrum is The Artist, who is focused on interested in beautiful, never-seen-before images in a way that asks a lot of participation and focus from the couple. I find myself in the middle as a Craftsman. Holding the middle ground allows some freedom in telling the story of the day, providing couples with images that capture candid moments as well as can become epic wall art. I am involved in your day, but not overly so. Every couple needs to make a style call on what is going to be best for them.

I am pretty sentimental and like a good laugh so you will find I focus on the emotional content of the day as well as funny moments that others might miss.
